अध: पतन क्यों होता है?

मैं भगवान का दर्शन प्राप्त कर लूँगा, यह दुर्बुद्धि, दम्भ, मापाबुद्धि अथवा भोगबुद्धि है । श्रीविग्रह मुझे देख रहें हैं, यही श्रीविग्रह- दर्शन है । इसीलिये कान देकर ठाकुरजी का दर्शन करना होता है । दैन्यार्त्ति लेकर, ठाकुरजी की कृपादृष्टि प्राप्ति के लिये ठाकुरजी के सुख के लिये ठाकुरजी के निकट जाना होता है, तभी मंगल होगा।

हम कर्त्ता क्यों बन जाते हैं?

यह दुर्भाग्य का परिचय है। जीव तो ईश्वर नहीं है, जो वह कर्त्ता होगा? कर्त्ता एकमात्र श्रीकृष्ण हैं । हम सभी उन श्रीकृष्ण के नित्य सेवक हैं । किन्तु हम यह बात भूलकर गृह के कर्त्ता, मोहल्ले के स्वामी, ग्राम के नेता, देश के प्रभु अथवा जगत के ईश्वर होना चाहते हैं, ऐसा हमारा दुर्दैव है ।

संसार में किस प्रकार रहना होगा?

जिस प्रकार एक व्यक्ति को बाँधकर दण्ड देने पर, उसे बाध्य होकर स्वीकार करना पड़ता है, किन्तु दण्ड स्वीकार करना उसकी इच्छा नहीं है, उसी प्रकार इस संसार का गहर्ण करते हुए इसे ग्रहण करना होगा, अन्यथा विपद और दुःख अनिवार्य हैं।

क्या बहुत दिनों तक बचे रहना अच्छा है?

वास्तव में संसार में सुख है ही नहीं । संसार नाना प्रकार की अनहोनियों को घटाकर अशान्ति उत्पन्न कर देता है। उसमें अच्छा, बुरा या आशिक पवित्रता रहने पर भी अनेक समय नाना प्रकार की अशान्ति उत्पन्न कर देता है।

Should we have immense faith in God?

We are constantly inducing the Lords servants to enhance their faith in God. Their success, however, depends on their respective luck. If Krsna bestows His mercy, everyone will profit. We should always discuss topics about the Vaishnavas. Then the pride that we are enjoyers will not trouble us. Our mind can help us become bound by different kinds of material enjoyment, but when devotional service, the souls constitutional propensity, is awakened, the pure, uncontaminated spirit soul will always cultivate *hari-katha*.

How can we destroy dissatisfaction?

Fighting battles of speech, bodily comforts, and battles in the form of mental dissatisfaction will not allow us to serve Lord Hari. Therefore, become as tolerant as a tree and by the Lords will continue to live at Kurukshetra. By doing so, we will attain auspiciousness. We wait for that day when Sri Gaurahari will send us to some other place.

Is praying to the Lord for a healthy life deterimental to devotional service?

Whatever way Lord Krsna is pleased to keep us we should accept without reservation. To desire sound health in order to worship the Lord is favorable for devotional service. To desire sound health in order to engage in sense gratification is not acceptable. Devotees do not wish to follow the path of the nondevotees, who demand that the Lord serve them. Rather, they pray for good health at the lotus feet of Sri Nrisimhadeva, who destroys all obstacles, in order to worship Krsna, and this is certainly favorable.

Is the desire for frame an impediment on the devotional path?

There is no point accumulating material fame. We should remember that material fame is like the hog stool. It is to be rejected. There are two paths in life, *sreyas* and *preyas*. The materialists follow *preyas* and desire wealth, women, and fame. Travelers on the devotional path follow *sreyas* and are therefore freed from material desire. That is why association with devotees is most beneficial.

Is a Kanishtha-adhikari superior to a karmi or jyani?

A kanishtha-adhikari is superior because he has adopted the path of devotion, the path of auspiciousness. Karmis and jyanis donot have such fortune. Kanishtha-adhikaris are generally engaged in Deity worship. By serving the Deity, the guru, and the Vaishnavas, and by serving the Lords holy name, living entities attain supreme auspiciousness. Sri Chaitanyadeva has said that the tongue of anyone who utters the name of Krsna even once is the best of all. A Kanishtha-adhikari who worships the Deity with mantras consisting of the Lords holy names is superior to the best of pious fruitive workers in this world.
